The Patten Companies have never been without a Government contract for Inflatable Life Rafts from 1947 to the present.
Patten Co., Inc. (“Patten”) has been manufacturing critical inflatable lifesaving equipment and air tight structures since the 1940s, and has not been without a U.S. Government contract since 1947. During this time, the majority of the company’s customer base has been comprised of the U.S. Military and friendly foreign militaries. Patten has been located at the same facility in Lake Worth, Florida since 1974.

Various 1-person life rafts used in the vast majority of U.S. manufactured fighter planes such as the F-16, F-18, F-117, F-22 and A-10
20-person life rafts used mainly in C-130 troop transports
7-person life rafts
50-person life rafts, manufactured on a sub-contract basis and used on large U.S. warships such as the U.S.S. Ronald Reagan and U.S.S. New York
Various welded multi-place life rafts [MPLR] including 6-person, 8-person and 20-person models
A smaller line of inflatable attack boats formerly sold into various U.S. Special Operations divisions.
During its history Patten has varied from its core military lines when necessary, and manufactured certain products for other government and non-government based customers. These products include the vast majority of inflatable rafts that have been utilized by NASA since the first Apollo mission, miles of oil boom bladders including those used for controlled burns and containment in the recent Deepwater Horizon disaster, inflatable emergency shelters, and large inflatables for theme parks.
